I used to be skinny

In this one I post embarrassing pictures of myself. So you have that to look forward to. I used to be skinny. Looking back at old pictures of me from only years ago I am so skinny and young. Exhibit 1: Circa spring 2005 160 lbs I then got fat. Exhibit 2: Spring 2012 212 lbs I have to admit the second photo was staged for maximum guttness. I'd never wear that shirt out in public and the camera angle is just right. So how did I get fat. Simple story really. I grew older, and slower, and ate too much horrible food. Over a four year period I gained fifty pounds. At one point a couple of years ago I became determined to lose the weight and get in shape. So I began working out fairly regularly. Cruising the Eastern Caribbean: The Adventure of Getting There

With the daunting prospect of another midwestern winter before us, a friend and I decided to book a trip somewhere warm during the depth of winter. Boy were we prescient. Unless you have been living in a cave in the southern hemisphere, you know this winter was brutal in North America. The only criteria I had in planning the get away was that it be warm and all inclusive. All inclusive isn't usually y sort of thing. Heck I landed at Heathrow in 2012 with no idea how to get to my hotel. My friend had the perfect idea: a cruise. We would be warm, well fed, and able to relax. We decided on a seven night cruise on the eastern Caribbean aboard the Celebrity Reflection. I had never been on a cruise before so I didn't know what to expect. A Series of Disasters

Recently life has been beset but what are a mostly comical series of disasters. The man gets his money The day I went to go see the Peter Frampton concert, I opened the mailbox to a very large envelope in the mail. Along the return address were the words so many American fear, Internal Revenue Service. With more anger than fear I ripped open the envelope. Hadn't they taken enough? They clearly didn't think so. I had a bill for more money. I didn't have time that day to check to see if their calculations were correct. I did go through my records later and realize they were probably right. After a short consultation with a nice woman from the IRS I realized I would have to pay.. Grrr Never look a gift horse in the worn out gasket You all remember the free clothes washer I got a month or so back.
